From fad diets to finicky exercise routines, there are endless ways weight loss can be difficult.
But one simple pantry item claims to help you shed the pounds, and it costs less than £2 at the supermarket.
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has an impressive range of benefits that aren’t limited to weight loss.
Jennifer Aniston this week revealed she consumes it every morning as part of her health routine.
The 48-year-told actress told Bazaar: “Vitamins. Vitamins. Vitamins. I take a lot of vitamins, I’m not going to lie … Now I’m doing apple cider vinegar in the morning.”
The simple pantry staple has incredible properties for boosting metabolism, cleaning skin and even cleaning your household, according to experts.
Studies have also shown ACV might be beneficial in the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes.
He said: “A study published in the Journal of Diabetes Care found that consuming apple cider vinegar could promote weight loss.
“There are several reasons ACV promotes fat loss, but one of those reasons includes that ACV reduces sugar cravings and improves detoxification.
One study in 2011 found the vinegar actually increased both good and bad cholesterol in rats.
Taking it over a long period of time has sometimes resulted in conditions like low potassium levels, but short term use is relatively low risk.
Research suggests ACV can also be helpful with teeth cleaning and whitening, skin, hair and nails, coughs and sore throats and as an all-purpose cleaner.
It can be taken by the tablespoon, in juice or water or used directly on meals, in cooking or as salad dressing.
